No One Does More For Veterans
Post 5796 Helps vet out of homelessness
Recently, the Post was approached by a veteran in need. The veteran who was suddenly homeless when she could not afford the increase in her formerly rent stabilized apartment suddenly found herself in dire need for help. The VFW along with other supporters assisted this veteran buy donating money to assist the veteran with closing costs associated with the purchase of a new home that will now guarantee that this veteran will never be homeless again.
